ENTREPRENEURSHIP & YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
HELD ON THE 2ND OCT; 2017 @ VMAC, OLORUNSOGO.

Due to the economy state of the country, the Glorious Youth Fellowship of the Victoria Memorial Anglican Church under the prime leadership of our Amiable President Mr Olajide Ifeoluwa organise a day empowerment programme for all youths and teenagers of the church to build their capacity and develop their entrepreneurial skills. This seminar was held on the 2nd day of Oct., 2017 at the church auditorium Olorunsogo, Akanran Road, Ibadan.

The empowerment programme are in two sections in which the varieties held are;
A)Seminar: Online business
B) Catering works: chin chin and peanut making

1ST SECTION

A) SEMINAR
Topic: TREND
Guest speaker:Mr Olanite olatunbosun

The speaker start by explaining his own perception about financial freedom as "the ability to perform as occasion demand" i.e being able to meet up with immediate financial needs.
After stressing more fact on this, he moves straight to the business of the day which is titled trend;

What is Trend?
Trend is a general direction in which a situation is changing or developing. It could  be
a) Economic
b) Social
c) Political trends
Without going to far the main objective and area of focus of this seminar was of interest to the economic trend
Economic trend is the changes which occur according to season in the economy of our community which could be inflation or deflation . Trend occurs in everything and every aspect of our life. We need to move according to the trend. The changes have been occurring in the past century such as;

Economic Era:

• Conceptual age(21st century):- It is done by the concept workers
• Information age(20th century):- it is done by the knowledge workers
• Industrial age(19th  century):- It is done by the factory workers
• Agricultural workers(18th century):- It is done by the farmers

Above are the changes which occur according to age and century. This also work according to the system of work we are into because it determines our survival and well-being. There are two ways in which you can earn a sustainable living in the economic trend;
i) Commission system
ii) Salary system

The commission system is more advisable compared to the salary system. Therefore, invest more on the commission system because there are more advantages such as:                                
i) It is dependable
ii) No delay
iii)  No season, e.t.c
The way we spend also determines our financial well-being and survival. We discover that the rich spend wisely and invest more than the poor. The rich does not only apply to the financial aspect. The differences are as follows:
i)  Way of thinking(orientation): The rich think wisely compared to the poor
ii)  Money: Poor look for ways to spend money while the rich look for ways to invest their money
iii) Preparation: Poor prepare today for today while the rich prepare today for the opportuinities of tomorrow
iv) Time: Poor waste time while the rich see time as the most valuable.

Therefore, invest wisely and be introduced to businesses. Business that can be done  at this economy to yield interest at this dispensation are;
i) Talent: Invest more on your talent, It yields.
ii) Multi-level marketing (MLM)
iii) Investment
In summary, it's no more negotiable that diversification to
Let your stream of money be more than a source. What we have in our hands is “seed” and this “seeds” determines our harvest.

2ND SECTION:

 After having a short break then the programme proceed to the second segment which comprise the chinchin and peanut making.

B) CATERING

Trainer: Mrs Oloyede Bukola

Starting with the chinchin making

i) Chinchin

Ingredients: 

• Vegetable oil
• Butter
• Milk
• Flavour
• Baking powder
• Nutmeg
• Sugar
• Pinch of sugar
• Egg
•  Flour

Preparation:
Using a congo of flour as an example, we use;
1 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 magarine(250g), 2 pinch of salt, 3 eggs and one raw nutmeg

Procedures:

1. Pour the flour in a bowl
2. Add the right quantities of powders i.e baking powder, flavor, milk, salt
3. Mix the sugar in little quantity of water(a cup)
4. Add butter 
5. Mix the powders together
6. Pour the sugary liquid
7. Pour the egg
8. Mix till its soft
9. Roll on a flat surface till its succulent then cut.
10. Then fry

After getting done then enjoy it......

2) PEANUT

On peanuts making the ingredients include:

• Flour
• Eggs
• Sugar

Procedures:
i) Mix the egg and sugar
ii) Pour the mixture into the flour and mix bit by bit till it’s a little bit strong as that of raw chinchin
iii) Cut the mixed flour little by little and insert one groundnut and roll
iv) Then fry
After the frying is done, the you are good to go..
